We are proud to announce that Laura Kenyon has been elected as the President of the National McGown Guild (National Guild of Pearl K. McGown Rug Hookrafters) for a  three-year term. This appointment is a testament to Laura's exceptional skills, expertise, and dedication to the art of rug hooking.

The National McGown Guild is a renowned organization that promotes and preserves the art of rug hooking. With a rich history spanning over several decades, the guild has become a hub for rug hooking enthusiasts, artists, and experts from around the world.

Laura Kenyon's election as President is a significant milestone in her illustrious career as a rug hooking artist. With her extensive knowledge and experience in the craft, she is well-equipped to lead the guild and further its mission of fostering creativity, education, and community within the rug hooking community.

During her three-year term, Laura will work closely with the guild's board members, volunteers, and members to develop and implement initiatives that will enhance the guild's impact and reach. Sebago Lake Rug Hooking School 2025

Laura Kenyon will again be teaching at the Sebago Lake School in 2025. The dates are May 18-23. The classes are held at St Joseph College in Standish, Maine. We set aside the Second Saturday of each month for open hooking in the studio. We have sooo much fun. Just bring your stuff, settle in, and enjoy other fun folks.  Come for an hour, or two, or four.
