This is a vintage pattern with a central floral motif of roses and buds and pansies. The scrolls surrounding them are typical of rugs in southern Maine. This pattern can be fine shaded but it is beautiful in a wider cut primitive style.

The rug shown was hooked by Jackye Hansen and was prominently shown in front of the fireplace at the 1840 House. The second rug with the gold scrolls was hooked by Joanne Brooks.
